the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

A grad student muses on her life, film, friends, politics, reality televizzle, and music.

Back in the Saddle Again... Ride 'em Urban Cowgirl

Back in the office - planning an intern soiree on the roof of the Gugg, making an annotated list of new media sites and listservs (I plan to put it up for public access soon), and awaiting my boss's return to New York tomorrow at long last. Good to have a day to ease in... now I need to go over and pick up my housesitting key before making my way home. I am ready to crash - getting up at 6:30 stunned by system and all I want to do is read my wedding annoucements on the train home and maybe nap in the sun.
