the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

A grad student muses on her life, film, friends, politics, reality televizzle, and music.

Welcome back Ms. Kot-ter

Nothing like returning with a clear head and a sense of purpose. Surprise snow squalls en route up the old snowbowl mountain and already logged some library time this evening. Laundry calls and time to muck around with algebra for the GREs. Good news is that the CV is done and application essay has been chewed, it's not done, but I started. My new car is parked in the CFA insuring that burn a few calories next time I want to drive somewhere... okay, duty calls and I really want to sleep on clean sheets.

I should add that I got a very cute haircut and it was worth delaying my trip back. Got some great photos back from the photo wizards at CVS, I'll scan and get them online soon, we look all happy and drunk, and even gosh, tan from the summer.
