Crazy or Brilliant?
I am asking myself that all too often lately. Just the same, tonight I submitted U Chicago and Brown (statements of purpose to follow in supplemental paper form). It's nice to do applications on-line as it prevents fussing with the typewriter. Just the same, the blanks are too small and there is never enough space in the undergraduate major blank to write: Art History and Political Science (never mind that the official department name is The History of Art and Architecture, but that's gratuitous, I�ll grant that). I also finished the Bible paper, so I am trucking right along and back on track after a week of sorta-working and studying in fits and starts, sleeping late, not having class, eating pizza etc... tomorrow brings the urban planning final and editing the statements of purpose. Very do-able if I retain this near amphetamine-like inspiration I�ve tapped into this evening.
So my careful detective work reveals that my sinkmate has been gone for at least a day. I feel bad actually, I never said goodbye. I don�t know when she left and I don�t know if she went back to Japan or somewhere else. This has actually been the best living arrangement I�ve ever had at Middlebury. Now I guess I know how she feels considering that I run off all the time without real cause or explanation. It still makes me a lousy human being though.
