the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

A grad student muses on her life, film, friends, politics, reality televizzle, and music.

It's a Small World After All

First of all, Salute, 3000 hits and going strong. My blog has more hits than my car has miles.

Secondly, I just logged on to do my morning blogging and in the ten-most-recently-updated blog list there was Katie (see red head gal pal link). That makes the whole world seem a little closer or maybe that bloggers could actually function as a community of sorts.

Thirdly, jterm makes people stupid and bad-decision makers. Driven by boredom, I opted for a three g&t and two v&t when the "g" ran out night. That was pretty unsmart and now I feel like crap-o-la. So much for getting up early to finish my speech. Eeek. Maybe I still have it in me, but I am a mess (an unshowered mess) and Jack will be here shortly.
