the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

A grad student muses on her life, film, friends, politics, reality televizzle, and music.

Sex me so good I say BLOG BLOG BLOG*

Greatly enjoyed my dinner at the very Vermonty American Flatbread tonight. It's a warm pizza place run by hippies with roaring fireplaces, live jazz, and excellent homemade desserts. A very nice treat - perfect for a wintery night. A perfect way to visit with Jack and do something nice for Kristin's last night here. It's only open on weekends, but I really enjoyed it and I look forward to maybe going back sometime this month.

Despite fighting the topsy-turvey spins of drinking too much last night, I managed to finish a graduation speech. As it turns out, at 3pm when I turned my speech in, I was the only entry. I don't know if I win by default or what, but just the same, the odds are favorable. The woman also gave me permission to clean up my draft before I read the speech before the committee next Thursday afternoon. Even if I didn't have to compete fiercely for the honor, it is still an honor just the same and I intend to do a good job. The jury is still out and if I lose out to nothing, then I'll be embarassed. But it's looking good.

Anyway, it's cold and we're fresh out of ideas for fun... please clue us in if you have any suggestions.
