the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

TGIF Baby. TGIF

Check it out, Brian's blogging and nabbed himself one of the hippest blog titles out there! It's Friday afternoon and I couldn't be happier, I am so ready for a weekend (even if the weekend will like include a hefty amount of narrative theory reading). Tonight however is devoted to drinking with grad students in the TAA Union, maybe having an impromptu dinner party, and then getting down and dirty with the film students. Good times all around and I get to work on my personal grad student goal - make friends and party. At least some of us see eye to eye on this philosophy.

I think my class went well this morning - it seemed clear and interesting and I got a lot accomplished. I guess I'll wait and see how things turn out, but I think I am doing a more than competent job. I know I keep saying it, but so far so good.

My Internet at home has been shaky - the connection is just lousy and it frustrates me. I'll be doing most of my work in the library or the office until I get that whole situation squared away. Anyway, time to get my weekend on.
