the female gaze

Look with your eyes, not with your hands.

Such a minute fraction of this life do we live: so much is sleep, tooth-brushing, waiting for mail, for metamorphosis, for those sudden moments of incandescence: unexpected, but once one knows them, one can live life in the light of their past and the hope of their future.

A grad student muses on her life, film, friends, politics, reality televizzle, and music.

Drunk and coming home from my reunion... this didn't even break even, therefore, it cost me over $100 to have a drunken time with some high school friends. Still not sure if it is worth it, but I am definitely pissed off at all of those people who RSVP'd and never showed up... what a weird night. Katie, Manda and I ended up with a handsome bill that none of us wanted to pay... still not quite sure who is paying it. Ended up at a sex club with a lot of guys from AP English... how absolutely bizarro is that?? To make it even more bizarro, one of the guys now goes to law school with the infamous Todd Barry... it can only go downhill from that...
